..as people pour encomiums

There is no doubt that the coast is now clear for the House of Representatives aspirant, Mr Steve Sola Fatoba to emerge as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ekiti Central Constituency I in the forthcoming election and the general election in the state as people poured encomiums on him and giving testimonies of his good deeds.
They reeled out evidence and qualities that gave them the confidence that he will be good representative if picked
The endorsement was made at a stakeholders' meeting held in Hon Clement Akinyemi’s house at Iworoko recently where party faithfuls from Igbemo, ward, Are, Iworoko, Afao, Eyio, Esure, Iropora, Awo, Igede, Iyin, and Ado Ekiti were present, for Fatoba who was also on seat.
First to open the floor was the secretary of Ifedara Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr Bewaji Vincent who noted that there have been indications that Fatoba’s aspiration has the endorsement of the party leadership and advised that people should support Fatoba whose is known to be loyal Party man to the core.
A leader from Ado Ekiti, Alhaji Onipede Babatunde also stood up to reel out some of the good deeds of Fatoba which he will not make noise about. These include award of scholarships to students, and uncountable financial assistance to individuals in need irrespective of their relationship as he had assisted several people from the state who he never met or known to him personally.
According to him, “ Fatoba is a responsible, reliable, and committed party member who will never look down on you , no matter your age or position, despite the fact that he has aspired to be member of the state Assembly twice and was never favoured. He never stopped doing good to the party and members in the State, and has continued to accord respect to the leaders of the party including myself.
“When we were in the struggle for the emergence of the Governor, this man contributed immensely to the success of his victory at the primary and at the main governorship poll, so let us support him because Fatoba is a humble and consistent politician that always put the interest of his people first”
The Chieftain also described Fatoba as a kindhearted person whom he feels proud to be associated with in view of his antecedents and particularly for his unalloyed loyalty and support for the Governor Elect of Ekiti, Dr Kayode. Fayemi, before, during and after the Governorship primary.
Onipede who spoke glowingly about Fatoba described him as a highly committed party man who possesses all the three qualities that will be used to determine who grabs the ticket, which include: loyalty, commitment to the party, and eminent qualification.
He said Fatoba is eminently qualified and will not be a bench warmer or a beg to support the motion in Abuja that will not be productive, adding that he is a stable and committed party member who has never been found wanting ever since he joined politics in the state, and that his loyalty is not in doubt as this can be testified to by Dr. Fayemi and other party chieftains like himself.
“Fatoba is the first person that will ever buy plasma TV for all the ward Chairmen in Ado Ekiti, he takes care and gives all chairmen and youth leaders in Ado Ekiti money yearly and he has been doing this for quite some years now and has not stopped his good gesture to his party leaders up till now despite being unelected. You can now imagine, what this man would do if elected or sent to represent us at the lower chamber, I will only plead with you to let us give him all our support as he will not disappoint us”
Hon Shina Ogunleye who spoke later corroborated all the good things that have been said about Fatoba, noting that seeing the caliber and personalities of people in his team that have been supporting and canvassing for him, the people should now know that he is the right choice to work with Mr Governor at the lower chamber and therefore urged the people to begin to queue behind him so that by the time the reward of their support for him will come, they will all feel proud to be part of the success.
Another leader, and Chairperson, of Araromi LCDA, Mrs Caroline Eegunlusi however, assured him of their support but demanded that women empowerment is compulsory, adding the distribution of hoe and cutlass as dividends of democracy was no longer fashionable but should remember to consider their children for all federal employment and recruitments whenever he is given slot for such.
Responding, Fatoba assured the people of more goodies, saying he hasn’t started at all. He assured the people that he will not disappoint them adding that anything that he sees will be put on the table for the party leaders to share equally saying all their demand is noted and therefore promised to go and serve the people better and ever than before in the House of Representatives with a promise to continue to give the required support to Governor Fayemi to ensure more dividends of Democracy for the people.
A party chieftain, Prince Ilesanmi who prayed for him, however urged him to continue to be good ambassador so that the good things that have been said about him will continue, He said everything that man does will one day become history just as people are now talking about the other person from Ado Ekiti today.
Fatoba was born into the family of Omosio Adaraloye’s in Ado Ekiti in October 10th,1967. He attended L.A Primary school Okeyinmi Ado-Ekiti and All Soul’s Grammar School Ado-Ekiti., and obtained OND in Accounting from Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo. I also obtained B.Sc in Business Administration from Lagos State University and M.Sc in Industrial and Labour Relations from University of Lagos. He is happily married with children.
He has over twenty-five years’ experience in the agricultural produce procurement, agric produce warehousing, export documentation and procedures as well as Import formalities. His experience in handling of some of Nigeria agricultural produce such as Cocoa beans, Cashew nuts, Rubber, Sesame seed, Sorghum, Gingers is superb.
As a Senior Manager in a reputable multinational company, this has afforded him the opportunities to have interactions with high calibre Nigerians and expatriates. He has worked as Zonal Manager in all the six geopolitical zones of this country. He also engages in farming activities here in Ekiti and he is also a private sector investor active player, as he has major interests in such companies’ like Kemstol Perfect Nigeria Limited and others which are into Haulage. Supplies, Labour Outsourcing and Facility Management Company.
Fatoba has been a member of the Progressive Party for a decade now, during which time he contested twice for Ekiti State House of Assembly in Ado constituency two where he proved his mettle. Given him wealth of experience in politics, community development and private sector. He is aspiring for House of Representative Ekiti, to represent Ekiti Central Federal Constituency One comprising of Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Areas.
