Atiku In Ibadan, Say's South West Crucial In Nigeria Politics

A Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ALllhaji Abubakar Atiku on Tuesday in Ibadan recalled how his party tried in vain to win both governorship and presidential elections in 2003 in Lagos state pleading that this time around,all hands must be put on the deck for overall victory.




The former Vice President and a leading presidential aspirant of PDP disclosed that his party would continue to see the South Western part of the country as very crucial in Nigerian politics.

He spoke in Ibadan where he was received by delegates and members of his party in the State capital.



The Turaki of Adamawa who lamented that his party has been rendered impotent in the South West promised to restore its glory if he won the 2019 presidential election.

He appealed to the leaders and members of the party to sink their differences and pool their resources together in order to defat other parties in the 2019 elections.

Describing Oyo State as the fulcrum of South West politics ,Atiku  urged all and sundry to work tirelessly for the victory of the Party in the state next year.

Atiku who was accompanied by his Director General of his campaign, Otunba Gbenga Daniel further urged members of the party to work for the interest of the party at all times for them to reclaim the state and the Federal 
government.

He was welcomed to the Oke Ado PDP state secretariat by the two gubernatorial aspirants of the party, Mr. Seyi Makinde and Senator Ayo Adeseun, a former Deputy governor, Alhaji Azeem Gbolarumi, Elder Wole Oyelese, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Senator Kamoru Adedibu and Dr. Saka Balogun.
Other bigwigs that welcomed Atiku were Chief Robert Koleoso, Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola, Elder Wole Oyelese, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Taiwo Oluyemi, Muraina Ajibola and the State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke.
