Rerun election : Omisore's SDP forms Coalition with APC. 

...as conference of political parties in Osun declares support for APC. 

The candidate of  the Social Democratic Party in the last governorship election in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore  has declared formation of Coalition with the ruling party APC, in the state to guarantee it's victory in tomorrow' s re- run in seven polling units scattered in four local government areas where votes were cancelled.



Senator Omisore made his party's decision known, at a press conference attended by the national chairman of the SDP, professor Yemi Farounbi and other starlwarts in Ile-Ife.

Senator Omisore hinched the  decision on the acceptance of his party's manifestos, including payment of backlog of arrears to civil  servants and Pensioners in the state within the first three months of assumption of office by the All progressive Congress .

Other conditions include payment of accumulated salaries to workers and pensioners in the state Civil Service, while workers must be trained and motivated. 

The two parties in the coalition according to the agreement is that the government should commence payment of full salary to all category of workers in the State Civil Service. 

He explained that SDP was left with no option than to pitch tent with the APC after the People's Democratic party failed to respond to his party's terms and  condition for a coalition government.

It will be recalled that the SDP came third in the election which was declared inconclusive by the Independent Electoral commission due to irregularities in four  local government areas with Ife North and East inclusive.

In a similar development, the Conference of all registered political parties has also declared support for Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola,  the APC candidate in the rerun election. 

This decision was made known at a Press conference addressed on Wednesday by their Chairman, Prince Adesoji Masilo.
