A Nigerian, Bankole Oni Ogunnowo, popularly known as 'Big Banky', has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police for criminal activities ranging from forgery, impersonation and others.
The 39 year old Nigerian, who was arrested in the UK and awaiting his extradition to Nigeria, appeared at the Westminster Magistrates, London, last Friday.
According to one of our sources, Bankole was reported to have worked as a bodyguard to Gani Adams before he became the Aare Onakakanfo.
He was said to have conspired with an ex girlfriend, one Mercy Oluwafeyibunmi, to be able to carry out the impersonation, forgery, perjury.
The man simply known as Comrade Bankole Oni, while working for Adams in Nigeria, the source disclosed further, is likely to be extradited this month.
