Atiku, Buhari Shun Presidential Debate

President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently not participating in the ongoing debate for presidential candidates.


The debate, which started 7:00 pm at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, is being aired live on all BON member stations and its affiliates in live streaming on all social media platforms.

Only three candidates, Oby Ezekwesili of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Fela Durotoye of Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) and Kingsley Moghalu of Young Progressives Party (YPP) are participating in the debate.

It was gathered that Atiku had attended the venue but declined to participate due to President Buhari’s absence.
