The governorship
candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Prince Dapo
Abiodun has assured residents of border communities in the state of better days,
if elected the next governor of the state in the March 2 governorship election,
saying that necessary infrastructural facilities that would make life meaningful
to them would be provided.
Abiodun, who gave the assurance
during his ward to ward campaign tour of Ifo local government area of the state,
assured them that decay in infrastructure and all abandoned projects in the
area would be addressed.
The APC governorship
hopeful also visited the palace of Alajuwon of Ajuwon, Oba Nurudeen Rowland
Egunsola, where he met with other traditional rulers in the area.
Areas visited included Isheri,
Ojodu- Abiodun, Akute, Ajuwon, Agbado among others.
He informed the residents
of his plans and policies when he becomes the governor of the State.
He said, “this campaign
tour has given us the opportunity to move round these border communities and we
have seen the level of their infrastructural decay and neglect”.
“It is a clear indication
that these places have been long neglected and the gap between them and neighboring
Lagos State is too wide in terms of infrastructure”.
“Despite these
challenges, the acceptability of our party still remains very high. Hence,
we will ensure we start to ameliorate these challenges immediately we get into
the office”, he assured.
“Some of the challenges
we have identified included lack of motorable roads; public schools;
functioning health centers and other basic amenities like pipe borne water”.
He assured them that all
these deficiencies had been captured in his blueprint and that the residents
would see a new dawn when he assumes office as the next governor of the state.
The APC governorship
candidate was accompanied by his Deputy, Engr (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the
party’s candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro federal Constituency, Hon. Isiaka Ibrahim,
party's candidate for Ifo State Constituency II, Hon. Fola Salami and other

Responding, the Alajuwon

the next governor of State urging his people to stand by the APC
candidates.
He appealed to the
