Dapo Abiodun Of APC Wins Ogun Guber Polls

Prince Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Ogun State governorship election held on Saturday.

Abiodun polled a total votes of 241, 670 to beat his closest rival, Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) who polled a total votes of 222, 153.

INEC's Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka noted that the APC candidate, Abiodun, having polled a majority of the votes cast at the polls, was declared the winner of the election. 

Prof. Olayinka said total registered voters stood at 2,375,003 while total accredited voters  was 708, 807 and total Votes Cast was 701,916.
