Ogun 2019 Governorship Race: Opinion Poll tips Dapo Abiodun to win

A poll conducted by Primetimenew.ng, an online newspaper has tipped the  candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun as the winner of the governorship election come Saturday.


Thirty seven (37)  per cent of respondents across the state said they would prefer  the oil and gas mogul, Dapo Abiodun to succeed Governor Ibikunle Amosun at the  Government House while 22 per cent opted for Gboyega  Isiaka fondly called GNI. Akinlade, a current member of the House of Representatives scored 16 per cent, with Senator Buruji Kashamu scoring 14 per cent as other candidates took the balance of six per cent.

The questionnaires were designed around the aspirations of seven candidates considered to be leading contenders at the next elections. They are Abiodun of the APC, Isiaka of  the ADC, Akinlade of APM, Buruji of the PDP, Oladimeji Bankole (ADP), AD) Olufade G Oluseyi (AD) and  Adegbuyi Babasola of (YPP).

In the opinion poll, a total of over 4000 respondents, many of whom are residing in the state, were sampled with the question: Which of the leading governorship candidates will you trust with your vote?
