Police Arraigns Five Persons For Acts Of Lesbianism

In what appears to be a major clampdown on  lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. LGBT, the Nigerian Police has charged five persons before the Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta for allegedly being bisexual and lesbians, while declaring another, now on the run, wanted.

The Charges which were brought before the Court read that Badaru Ololade, Yemisi Oyebamji, Kemi Olaleye, Ajoke Adebiyi , Adenrele Olubakin and Olayinka Adebajo were involved in acts contrary to various provisions of the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2013.

Meanwhile, a mild drama occurred in the Court premises ‎when both Olayinka and Adenrele accused each other of infidelity to the dismay of the audience.

The Police has however disclosed that it is in search of one Ajoke Adebiyi after she refused to honour the invitation sent to her to appear before the force.

The police  had to shield the accused persons from some irate youths who hurled stones at the accused persons while being taken away in a van to prison
