The crisis rocking the Ogun State chapter of Labour Party has taken a new dimension as Secretary of the party loyal to Comrade Abayomi Arabambi led exco in the state, Otunba Akinyemi Jackson has vowed to get Comrade Oginni Sunday Olaposi arrested for alleged impersonation.
Akinyemi who was speaking with some Journalists in Abeokuta revealed that there was a petition written to the Ogun State Command of Nigeria Police, backed with the letter from the National secretariat of the party to arrest Olaposi Oginni for impersonation and allegedly using the party for his personal gain.
He described Oginni as a traitor working for Chief Olusegun Osoba APC to disrupt Labour Party, saying Oginni's political career started as personal assistant to Chief Awofala Awolola on sundry matters.
"He (Oginni) was brought to Labour Party in 2013 December by the present chairman of Zenith Labour Party, Chief Awofala Awolola, but because the State Secretary was from Ogun Central then, Olaposi Oginni was appointed by Comrade Bode Simeon who was the chairman in that year as Assistant Secretary, Ogun West, while Comrade Arabambi Abayomi was the party's Director-General for Chief Jide Awosedo, Labour Party governorship Campaign Organization and acting Secretary from 2014 to January 21, 2018 before, I Comrade Otunba Akinyemi Jackson became the Secretary through the Congress held January 22nd 2018", Akinyemi said.
He further stressed that, Oginni's alleged criminal activities led him to Prince Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka (GNI), the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress ADC to offer him assistance by endorsing him towards winning the just concluded election which collapsed like a pack of cards as GNI failed woefully.
He added that, in continuation of his struggle for survival, Oginni joined Prince Dapo Abiodun's transition committee as a member from the exalted position of ADC governorship candidate.
" I hereby challenge Olaposi Oginni to tell the whole world which Congress produces him as the secretary of the Labour Party in Ogun State and his means of livelihood as a man.
"Also, he said Olaposi Oginni has neither a job nor address after he was deported from his home town "ILESHA" in Osun State over criminal activities.
"We have it on good authority that he is on payroll of Chief Olusegun Osoba at present as the secretary of Chief Olusegun Osoba faction of the Labour party."
But reacting to the allegation, Comrade Oginni Olaposi described the arrest threat as laughable.
Oginni said, the "self-acclaimed" Secretary was never known by the party neither was he recognized by the party leadership.
"This is laughable. Nobody can claim patrimony to Labour Party. I don't recognize him because he has never attended any NEC meeting. Even the same Arabambi that is gallivanting around, I brought him to the party together with GNI and Abiodun Akinlade.
"I cannot be intimidated. If he believes he is the legitimate Secretary of Labour Party in Ogun State, let him charge me to court for impersonation. They are vampires and we shall deal with them according to the law.
"If he's looking undue publicity, he should look elsewhere.
"Labour Party is the Party of Nigerian workers and not a Party for charlatans like Arabambi and co. The Nigerian Labour Congress and the organized Professional bodies are battle ready to rescue the Party from Vampires! We are working with the Political Commission of the NLC to ensure sanity is brought back to Labour Party in Nigeria and Ogun State in Particular".
