Christians in the country have been admonished to run their race well and ensure that they win the race in order to be victorious here on earth and in the life hereafter.
This admonition was given by the District Pastor Ojoo,Ibadan of Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT),Pastor Jerome Olusegun Aina during a special meeting with Ministers under the District who were also told to embark on soul winning task.
Pastor Aina explained that to run ,and win in the Christian race required a good beginning with focus on outset,outlook,outreach and outcome well set out..
The District Pastor stated that the Church had a good beginning expected of a good project stressing that in order to succeed in anything in life, the foundation must be well laid on the pillar of Christ.
Quoting from Matthew 6 :33that we should seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and that all these things shall be added,he regretted that most people reverse the other making them to start chasing the shadow thereby leaving the substance with little passion for the exploit of God.
"We shall win our race when we begin well,many who fall by the way side did not have a good beginning ,he observed.
The District Pastor said that christian journey should be run with joy adding "because the joy of the Lord is your strength,you should do things of God with passion"
Reminding the Ministers that the work of God is not for the idle people,Aina said "the higher you go in the Lord,the higher the challenges,but once your focus is in the Lord,you cannot fail"
He charged the Ministers to be. conscious of the fact that grumblers and complainants cannot succeed in rendering quality service to God, adding "frustration is out of it if you want to end well"
Reminding true believers on the major role of soul winning,Aina charged "you are ambassadors of Christ.You must reach out to unbelievers.reach out to sinners and lead them to Christ.Let them benefit for eternity which you are also aspiring for.Do not be selfish."
The District Pastor called on all genuine believers particularly GOFAMINT members worldwide to ensure that they win at least an unbeliever before the end of the year stressing ,doing that "we will gain here and in the world to come"
The Assistant District Pastor,Solomon Oludele Babasola ledlthe opening prayer and other Pastors like Lasisi,Mishael Abioye and orhers were in attendance.
