The wave of kidnapping has spread to the South Western part of the country with the abduction of a Professor on Ife Ibadan road in the early hours of Monday.

Investigation revealed that Professor Olayinka Adegbehingbe was kidnapped by Fulani in military camouflage at Ikire and whisked away to an unknown destination.
The Orthopaedic Surgeon was said to be rushing to the University Teaching Hospital to resume duty when the unfortunate incident happened at Apomu.
One of the suspected kidnappers who spoke broken English to some people who wanted to rescue their victim was reported to gave identified themselves as soldiers in a special operation.
His vehicle,it was learnt,was not driven away from the scene.
It was further gathered that the incident has been reported to both Oyo and Osun Commands of Nigeria police as well as the Zone Eleven of the Nigeria Police in Osogbo.
The Anti Kidnapping squad of the Nigeria Police in the two States assured that the Professor would be rescued.
Our Correspondent learnt that the kidnappers have not yet sent any message to the relations of the kidnapped professor on ransom to be paid.
