Users and traders operating at M.K.O Abiola international stadium under the umbrella of Traders and Users Association of MKO Abiola international stadium has congratulated the Ogun State Governor elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his victory at the recently concluded governorship elections.
The Association in a congratulatory letter signed by its Secretary, Babatunde Lateef said the victory of Prince Dapo Abiodun at the polls during the 2019 gubernatorial election is a clear testimony to the high level confidence the good people of Ogun state have in him.
The Association which comprises of tenants and occupants of spaces within the MKO stadium complex said the members have great trust in the incoming governor in turning the fortunes of the State around for better most especially by rehabilitating the already delapilitated four stadia in the state.
"We have watched with keen interest various utterances of the Governor elect, his passion in ensuring that the youths are fully engaged so as to reduce unemployment and crime in the State, we agreed with him that one of the way to achieve this is to give priority to sport development. If our stadia are active and alive, we will keep the youths busy, and the State will take its position back as a frontliner in sporting activities.
The Association said the governor elect who is a seasoned administrator and a successful business man will encourage thriving of legitimate businesses in the State so as to boost the internally generated revenue of the state.
While promising to abide by the rules guiding the operations in the MKO stadium, the Association said the governor elect should as a matter of importance encourage local investors to succeed in taking the State to a greater heights.
