Spectators at an Ibadan High court in Oyo State were on friday held spell bound when a businessman on a divorce suit deposed how a strange man twice phoned him claiming the paternity of his four year old boy Emmanuel Adeyiga.
The Plaintiff,Olusegun Adeyiga is praying the court to dissolve the marriage between him and his pregnant wife, Princess Damilola Adeyiga.
Testifying in his divorce suit, Olusegun wanted the marriage between him and Princess Damilola dissolved on the grounds of infidelity ,distrust and unfaithfulness adding that she might have lied to him over the paternity of their child and the pregnancy which she is carrying.
Olusegun told the court that he was highly embarrassed when a strange man phoned him on two occasions that he should hand off his wife for him because he is the owner.
The witness said that the strange man further claimed being the father of their four year old boy and his expectant child.
He told the court that when his wife was misbehaving at home due to emotional trauma or guilt,he sent her and their child overseas for a change of environment.
Olusegun further said that it was when he got two embarrassing calls from the strange man he called his wife for explanation but she denied the story.
The husband disclosed that his wife in tears,pleaded to him to ignore the allegation but he could not .
He stated that his efforts to bring her home failed adding that since she refused to come home for a DNA test,their marriage should be dissolved.
The trial judge,Justice Oyeyemi Ajayi has adjourned the case till June 29 for further hearing.
