Nigerians React As Adeboye Addresses Busola Dakola’s Rape Allegations Against COZA Pastor

Nigerians on social media last night reacted to the comments of General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on the ongoing controversy surrounding Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), who was last week accused of rape by Busola, wife of Nigeria’s soul singer Timi Dakolo.

Many Nigerians had since the shocking revelation asked the church leaders in Nigeria to make a statement denouncing the Pastor’s act, which many claim has continued till date and involves other unnamed women apart from Busola Dakolo.

Finally, while ministering at the monthly Holy Ghost Night, on Friday at the Redemption Camp, along Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Adeboye, without directly naming anyone, wadded into the issue, spoke to young pastors about their conduct in ministry.

Adeboye, quoting from various passages of the Scriptures, said: “I feel compelled to say some things to those that are young and up and coming ministers.

“What I want to say is from the Bible: There is nothing hid that shall not come to the open or made manifest. Mark 4:22

“2. Sooner or later, your sins will find you out if you continue in sin under the guise of grace. Numbers 32:23

“3. Abstain from every appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22.

“2 Timothy 2:22. When you find yourself facing youthful lust, flee; don’t say you’re highly anointed or something, ask Samson. You may say I’m old fashioned, I agree. I’ll never have a private secretary who’s a woman. When a woman accuses you of something, nobody will listen to you whether you’re right or wrong; be wise!

Adeboye’s statement has since stirred reactions from a cross-section of Nigerians on social media.
