Gunmen abducts NTA staff in Ogun


Gunmen on Wednesday abducted a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) , Abiodun Adenuga in his Aiyepe residence in Odogbolu local government area  of Ogun .



According to family sources, Adenuga  was abducted around 10pm on Tuesday at his residence when the gunmen held him at gunpoint and whisked him away.

He was said to have returned from his NTA Ijebu Ode office, after retiring to his Aiyepe hometown where he usually come to work in Ijebu Ode, a distance of about 30 minutes drive.


According to the family sources, the abductors had demanded a ransom of N15 million for his release.


He stated that the abductors had opened negotiations with the members of the family and had refused to reduced the ransom.

Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi,  Ogun Police Public Relations Officer confirmed that someone was actually  kidnapped in that area .

Oyeyemi noted that the police were doing all the needful to ensure that the person was rescued .
