A trader, Alhaja Fausat Oyejobi has raised the alarm over the safety of her son, who she said cultists have been trailing over his alleged refusal to ascend the throne of his fore bearers, four years after the occupier of the throne, joined his ancestors.
Alhaja Oyejobi made the disclosure in Sagamu while speaking with Newsmen on the predicament of his son Yemi Oyejobi and his entire family, after he (his son) refused to be crowned as the Alagura of Agura, a position held by his father, the Late Oba Rasheed Johnson Oyejobi.
She, explained that since the refusal of Yemi, traditionalists in the town have continued to search for him, making day and night visits to his G.R.A quarters in Sagamu, to force the stool on him, because the deities have posited that it was only the occupation of the stool by him that would bring the much needed growth and tranquility to the town.
“After Yemi had refused to occupy the stool, things have not been going on well in Agura Community. Birds were no longer crying like birds while rats too, were not crying like rats again” Alhaja Fausat Oyejobi noted, stressing that the development has been a major source of concern to the entire people of the town.
The woman who looked troubled by the situation explained that the position of cultists who were suspected to be traditionalist was that her son, Yemi, had known all the secrets surrounding the vacant stool and vowed to forcefully deal with him, physically and spiritually.
“In 2017 he and members of his family whose lives were also threatened, secretely left their abode in Sagamu for an undisclosed destination, as the threat became heightened” “She said, adding that uptill the moment, the life of son was been sought by the kingmakers and chief priest of Agura”.
