The Police in Abeokuta, Ogun State are now on the trail of a middle-aged woman for alleged same sex scandal.
The woman whose name was given as, Olubunmi Obanla,mother of two, the Ogun State Police Command, said, committed the offence , yesterday, Tuesday, with her friend , one Basirat Opere at her Asero ,Abeokuta residence.
The show of shame by the woman, who Salient News, learnt, began the game in 2016, was unearthed, yesterday, Tuesday, when her husband, Adegboyega paid an unscheduled visit to her house in Abeokuta, only to find his wife on top of her friend, nude, caressing, each other.
Disturbed by the unexpected scene, Adegboyega, it was gathered, descended on his wife beating her to stupor before reporting the case to security operatives, at the Police station, close to their house.
Sources revealed that while Basirat ,Olubunmi's friend, escaped the wrath of residents of the area and that of her friend's husband, Bunmi, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, in the area,following the injuries she sustained from her husband's onslaught.
Security operatives who visited the hospital where Olubunmi was rushed to, in furtherance of their investigations into the same sex scandal allegation ,could however not continue with their purported investigation, as the suspect they were to interrogate, escaped from the hospital on sighting them.
While the state Police Image maker,Abimbola Oyeyemi could not be reached for comment,a senior officer at the command,who craved anonymity,confirmed the incident to news men, in abeokuta,expressing shock at the suspect's behaviour, saying the command would leave any stone unturned in its quest to trace, arrest and prosecute the fleeing woman,to serve as deterrent to other women .
He explained that since the laws of the Land forbids same sex, security operatives had no option than to let her face the music for her "shameless" act.
"We have gone in search of her, but reports reaching us have it that the woman had relocated from her house, but be informed that we deployed ,our dragnet to all the nooks and crannies of the town,even the country, to get her arrested for prosecution"
