Sixty year old woman cries out over her safety


Worried by the increasing  raids on her house in abeokuta, by security operatives over same sex allegations levelled against her daughter, a Sixty year old woman has cried out over her own safety.

The woman, Mrs  Abiodun Odunayo said that in the last  three years, she had faced, molestation and persecution from neighbours and security operatives who accused her of sheiding her daughter, Olubunmi Obanla who the Police are looking for, for prosecution.

Mrs  Odunayo expressed her worries while speaking with newsmen at their Iwerohin secretariat in Okelewo, Abeokuta, saying "I can no longer sleep with my two eyes closed because of fear and anxiety, occasioned by the anonymous calls from peole"

"They asked me, on every occasion they called my number, to either produce my daughter for prosecution or face their wrath "Odunayo said with palpable worries on her faces

The woman, a trader who looked embattled by happenings around  her, explained that she sees strange faces around her vicinity, wearing threatening  looks,saying" they come to me to ask for my daughter, Olubunmi, who they accused of engaging females in sex"     

"Honestly, the experiences am currently going through are very worrisome" the woman said, saying that a couple of weeks  ago, she still received annomous calls from some people who told her they would come to invade and destroy her house for her failure to hand over her daughter to the Police.

She expressed concern over the safety of her daughter whose residence at Goshen Estate, in Abeokuta, she said, was once broken into by some irate youths who came with dangerous weapons, asking for her daughter, dead or alive. 

"Am disturbed by the development because I don't know what will befall my daughter, Olubunmi who had run for safety, If she finally decides to come back home, from her present abode." the woman said with noslagia.
