Florence Otedola, the music personality better known as DJ Cuppy, says she has settled her rift with Victor Anichebe, her ex-boyfriend who is a retired Nigerian professional footballer

In 2017, the pair parted ways, citing differences in location and busy schedules.

It is understood that the pair have not been on good terms since their split.

But in a Twitter post on Saturday, Cuppy said they have finally decided to bury the hatchet.

The ‘Gelato’ crooner said it took both of them a while before coming to terms that such ill-feeling will not benefit either party.

Cuppy said they have opted for peace and positivity. The entertainer also said she appreciated her friendship with the footballer.

“Just got off the phone with my ex boyfriend Victor Anichebe I love our friendship! It took us a while to get here it’s about realising life is too short for beef,” she wrote.

“We choose peace + positivity! Just because you’re two great people doesn’t mean you’re compatible as a couple.”

Cuppy has established herself as a household name in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

She recently spoke of her struggles as a female in the industry.

Just got off the phone with my ex boyfriend Victor Anichebe 🖤 I LOVE our friendship! It took us a WHILE to get here it’s about realising life is too short for beef. We choose peace + positivity! Just because you’re two great people doesn’t mean you’re compatible as a couple.
“Going to the male-dominated space, you have to be strong and have the zeal. Women have to work twice as hard to get half as much done. Compared to my male counterparts, I’m still underpaid, undervalued,” she had said.
