Cissé Abdullahi, 37, and his wife were expecting twins based on the scan done during pregnancy. However, his wife gave birth to 4 babies at once on Monday, April 25, at the Badagry General Hospital.
Abdullahi, who is an apprentice learning how to sell tires, fled when he got the news that his wife gave birth to quadruplets.
He attempted to cross the Seme border into the Benin Republic but a friend encouraged him to return home and promised to assist him financially to care for the kids.
Abdullahi said despite help from his friend, he's still finding it difficult to care for his wife and their kids.
