A video that has gone viral on social media is from Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur where a bride slapped the groom during the vara mala ceremony, following which she walked off the stage.
The shocking report and video, which shook guests, were brought to the public glare by indiaaheadnews.com six days ago.
The bar had arrived at Hamirpur from Jalaun district’s Chamari village.
The groom was identified as Ravikanth.
While the actual reason for the bride slapping the groom cannot be ascertained, people close to the family said that the groom had arrived at the wedding venue drunk, which irked the girl.
The video shows how the guests at the wedding were left shocked after the bride left the ceremony midway after slapping the groom.
