2027: APC chairman mobilises Bayelsa East for Tinubu

The Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Bayelsa State chapter, Warman Ogoriba, has commenced mobilisation efforts in Bayelsa East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with a pledge to secure massive support for President Bola Tinubu.

Ogoriba stated this on Saturday during a consultative visit by members of the APC State Working Committee to the country home of a chieftain of the party, Dr Kojo Sam, in Okpoama, Brass Local Government Area of the state.

Sam, a businessman and philanthropist, pledged to work with the party to secure 100 per cent of the votes in Bayelsa East for Tinubu in the presidential election.

He said his support for the APC dated back to the party’s formation in 2013, adding that his commitment was based on what he described as the party’s ideals and ideological direction aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

Sam commended Tinubu for his economic reforms, which he said were beginning to yield positive results and improve the country’s macroeconomic indices.

He also dismissed attempts by opposition parties to gain a foothold in Bayelsa East, insisting that the people of Nembe and Brass were solidly behind Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He said, “Today, I have the privilege of hosting the APC Bayelsa State Executive Committee at my country home in Okpoama, Brass. We had a very productive and frank discussion on the future of the party in Bayelsa, strengthening our structures and promoting unity.

“I commend the leadership of Governor Douye Diri and the party chairman for the inclusive leadership which has strengthened the party. I want to assure the party that in 2027, President Bola Tinubu will coast to victory in Bayelsa East.”

Sam also commended the governor for his position and leadership, as he praised Ogoriba for what he described as a transparent leadership of the party, saying the approach had given members a sense of belonging.

In his remarks, Ogoriba described Sam as a critical stakeholder whose support had contributed to the victories recorded by the party.

He said the visit was aimed at appreciating Sam for his commitment, sacrifices and contributions to the growth and electoral fortunes of the party in the state.

Ogoriba expressed confidence in Sam’s ability to galvanise support for Tinubu across Bayelsa East, particularly in Brass and Nembe LGAs.

He added that the meeting also provided an opportunity for the party leadership and stakeholders to discuss ways of strengthening the APC’s grassroots structures and promoting greater unity among its members ahead of the 2027 elections.
