The Ogun State chapter of Labour Party has reacted to the defection of Hon Segun Williams from the Party describing his exit as unfortunate.
In a three paragraph reaction signed by its State Public Relations Officer, Amona Tajudeen Oladeinde, and copy of which was received by our correspondent, the Party said the defection of Hon Williams from LP few days after he lost his bid to return to the red chamber of national Assembly came to the Party as a big surprise.
'The reaction added, "Hon Williams is a great politician that contributed in no small measure to uplift the Labour Party in the State, he assisted in propagating the programmes and manifesto of LP through aggressive campaigns and mobilisation ".
"Since politics gives room fory free entrance and free exist, we can only wish him well in his future endeavours".
The party thereafter appealed to its members not to feel discouraged with the defection but continue to have faith in the principles the Party stands for.
