Hundreds of All Progressives Congress, APC, supporters on Thursday joined a three-term former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Isiaq Abiodun Akinlade to thank God for the victory of the Party at the just concluded general elections

The supporters also joined Akinlade to commmission an ultra modern hall at Ijofin Ipokia Local government Area of Ogun state
Akinlade who was a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded election got the accolades at the commisioing of the ultra-modern Oba Moruf Awode Hall in Ijofin, Ipokia local government.
The former lawmaker who represented Yewa South/Ipokia federal constituency between 2003 and 2015 explained that the gesture was necessitated by the support of the Ololo of Ijofin, Oba Moruf Awode in whose name the hall was built.
While reeling out projects he facilitated during his three- terms at the Federal House of Representatives, Akinlade described himself as the number one genuine advocate and champion of the socio-political, economical and educational development of Ogun West.
"I, Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade remain the number one genuine advocate & champion of the socio-political, economical and educational development of Ogun West" he said.
The former lawmaker revealed he was "persecuted, maligned and tagged the enemy of Ogun West by many during the election period" noting however that he has since moved on, forgiving those he has offended, while seeking forgiveness form those he offended.
His words, "I was called names and tagged the enemy of Ogun west, but today we thank God the will of God prevailed. Arguably, I, Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade remain the number one genuine advocate and champion of the socio-political, economical and educational development of Ogun west."
He assured that the incoming government of Prince Dapo Abiodun will not neglect the people of Ogun West.
"I love to reassure our people that I remain firmly with the person and government of Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun and I can confidently tell you all that our rights and privileges will be timely and adequately delivered. Unlike what happened in the outgoing administration, the development of Ogun West shall be rigorously and jointly pursued."
He called for all opposition camps to come together and work for the progress of the new government.
"Election has come and gone, what is important now is the unity of Ogun west. We can't negotiate our unity, vendetta can't be the order of the day again, and the development of our land should be paramount to us all."
