Zone Eleven Of Nigeria Police One Of The Most Peaceful In Nigeria"

ZONE Eleven of Nigeria Police comprising Oyo, Osun and Ondo States of the country is one of the most peaceful zone in the country despite some logistic problems of Nigeria Police which are being attended to.

This declaration was made recently by the Assistant Inspector General of Police for the zone Mr.Adeleye Oyebade during the launch of Zone 11 stake holders forum which was also attended by the Inspector General of Police ,IGP Mohammed Adamu represented by DIG Taiwo Lakanu.

Representatives of Nigeria Union of Journalist,Nigerian Bar Association ,Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers and other professionals were included were included in the Stakeholders Forum.

Oyebade who thanked the President,the three state Governors, Senior management team of the Police for their motivation also commended the senior Police officers and others for their industry and unity in their operations which have considerably reduced crime in the zone

"We have been able to put criminals at bay in the zone.We have also arrested some armed robbery suspects,kidnap suspects,burglars and rituaist suspects who would be charged to courts after discreet investigation,he disclosed.

The AIG assured that despite some challenges like logistic problems,communication problems and infrastructural deficiencies , police in the Zone would live to the expectations of  the public.

 

Oyebade who listed the content of section four of Police Act as consisting of prevention and detection of crime,apprehension of offenders,protection of lives and property as well as preservation of law and order among others reiterated the commitment of the Zone to live to its biddings.

The IGP who was represented by DIG Lakanu said that no police agency in any part of the world regardless of its level   training ,manpower profile,equipment handling or welfare handling can  without the trust, consent and support of the citizens achieve any positive result.

He stressed the essence of collaboration of all and sundry explaining ",the Zonal Security Stakeholders  Forum is a Community policing concept designed to galvanize the people of Ondo,Osun and Oyo states towards partnership in addressing the security challenges in the Zone.
