Kidnapped Professor Regained Freedom After N5.045 Ransom Payment

The kidnapped Professor of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile Ife Osun state has paid N5.045 before he regained his freedom.


Professor Adeyinka Adegbehingbe disclosed this while speaking with his friends and sympathisers in Ile -Ife Osun State.

The victim revealed that his abductors demanded for N30Million but he negotiated with them for  many hours after which they agreed.

He said he was thankful to God that he lived to recount his agonising experience.


 Adegbehingbe confirmed that his abductors were Fulani herders adding that the five of them were well armed.


The Professor hinged that they treated him politely though his experience was a  bad one.

He condemned the level of insecurity in the country adding that it shouldn't be seriously assessed

Investigation revealed that Professor Olayinka Adegbehingbe   was kidnapped by Fulani in  military camouflage at Ikire and whisked away to an unknown destination.


The Orthopaedic  Surgeon was said to be rushing to the University Teaching Hospital to resume duty when the unfortunate incident happened at Apomu.
