Tragedy As 100 Level Student Dies During Jogging At LAUTECH

Tragedy Struck at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology monday morning as a 100 level student collapsed and died during a jogging exercise on the campus.

The victim Akinde Miyosore Abdul of Bio Chemistry department died on the way to the University Health Centre,report said.

Akinde was said to be hale and hearty before the ugly incident,it was said.

The incident has thrown the ivory tower into a sad environment with students and workers mourning the tragedy.

Professor Michael Ologunde,the Vice Chancellor of the institution has ordered that the sporting centre of the University be closed down for three days to honour the deceased.

The Vice Chancellor who said that he was devastated by the incident said that it was least expected in view of development in the institution.

Meanwhile,the University authorities were making efforts to convey the body of the deceased .

In a related development,a commercial motor cycle rider was Tuesday crushed to death at Idi Ape by a trailer.

According to an eye witness,the trailer  driver who intially escaped later reported himself to police.
