Osogbo, the capital city of Osun State erupted in wild jubilation over the victory of Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola at the Supreme Court.
The nation’s apex court had dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke filed before the court against the declaration of Governor Oyetola as the winner of Osun Governorship Election.
In its reaction to the judgment, the ruling party, APC dedicated the victory to God noting that God answered our prayers.
Meanwhile, there is tension in Ede, the country home of Senator Ademola Adeleke over the outcome of the Supreme Court verdict and PDP is yet to react to the verdict.
Chieftains of the party, who do not want his name mentioned said that the party will react at the appropriate time.
Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye has congratulated Governor Oyetola over the victory at the Supreme Court describing it as victory for democracy and the people of Osun.
